Junior High Scholar’s Bowl Take First in League
On April 4, the JH Scholar’s Bowl went to Little River to compete for the league title. five 8th graders and six 7th graders competed. A total of nine schools competed. Cody Meyer totaled 400 for a year’s total of 1400. Congratulations to both teams!
State FBLA Competition
Mrs. Painter and 8 high school FBLA members traveled to Topeka on April 4 & 5 to compete at the Kansas FBLA State Leadership Conference. Those in attendance were Trace Hostetter, Jaryth Barten, Alex Hendricks, Katie Thomas, Drew Riedy, Chance Jacobson, Jessyka Barten, and Grace Diekmann. Students had the opportunity to compete in various events including public speaking, presentations, and objective tests. Three of our Hope students qualified to attend the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Atlanta this summer. Alex Hendricks placed first in the Accounting II competition. Katie Thomas placed 4th in the same event. Chance Jacobson placed 3rd in the Introduction to Business competition. Congratulations to these students and Mrs. Painter. We wish them luck as they make plans to travel to Atlanta this summer. If you would like to help support these students financially on their trip, please contact Mrs. Painter or the school office.
High School Scholar’s Bowl at State
The High School scholar’s bowl team competed at the state competition in Wilson on Saturday, February 13. Hope placed 4th in their pool. Members who attended are Jaryth Barten, Kaleb Sandow, Alex Hendrick, Drew Riedy, Maleah Meyer and Trace Hostetter.
